Digital Communications
Digital Communications is the new trend in amateur radio. More complex messages in this computer age require a faster and more accurate means of sending information than can be handled by verbal means. You may have a multi-page report or an image to transmit which would be difficult or impossible to send verbally. This is where digital communications shines. We can transmit the report or image to one ham or many hams in seconds. Then in a couple days or weeks send the same report again without error. What does it take to do this? Some free software, computer or smart phone, soundcard interface and some knowledge on your part. (Oh and a ham radio)..... Greatest thing since sliced bread. Try it.
